01Approach

A measured, accountable approach to engineering.

Every engagement starts with understanding the organisation’s needs and its existing systems, followed by documented architecture, tested implementation and monitored operation.

This is how ALU makes sure the solutions we deliver are not only finished on time, but stay reliable in use for the long term.

02Business lines

ALU’s three business lines.

ALU runs three business lines: RAMES, a licensed product for organisations; Lisaniyat, a public service; and technology solutions developed together with partner organisations.

Licensed product

RAMES

Built and owned by ALU, licensed to organisations.

An enterprise data & AI platform — from integration and the data lake to governance, analytics and enterprise AI in one ecosystem. Designed, built and maintained in-house; ALU holds the roadmap and the responsibility.

  • Enterprise data & AI platform
  • Licensed · on-premise ready
About RAMES
Public service

Public Services

ALU products, offered directly to the public.

Technology ALU builds, owns and runs for people to use directly — no license, nothing to deploy. Our flagship is Lisaniyat, which opens access to Arabic texts and Islamic scholarship.

  • Lisaniyat — AI translation & ready-to-read books
  • Operated by ALU, open to the public

Technology Projects

ALU as engineering partner.

Contract engineering for organisations, institutions and enterprises — from system integration and data engineering to AI, infrastructure and reliability work.

03Method

One method, from first conversation to long-term operation.

Six stages, applied with the same discipline whether the system is ours or a partner’s. The last stage is the one most vendors skip.

  1. Discover

Understand the organisation, its constraints, the systems already in place, and what success has to look like.

  2. Architect

Define boundaries, data flows, integration contracts and failure modes before any production code is written.

  3. Build

Implement in small, reviewed and tested increments against the agreed architecture.

  4. Integrate

Connect to existing systems, APIs and data sources, and verify every contract end to end.

  5. Deploy

Release through repeatable, observable pipelines into the target infrastructure.

  6. Operate

Monitor, maintain and improve. We stay accountable for the system after it goes live.

04Structure

How ALU is organised.

RAMES and Lisaniyat are both built and owned by ALU, but reach people differently: RAMES is licensed to organisations and runs in their environment, while Lisaniyat is operated by ALU and open to the public directly. Technology Projects are engineered for, and with, partner organisations.

Keeping these lines clear tells you exactly who owns what, who is accountable, and what kind of relationship you are entering when you work with us.

Next step

Have a system that needs to be built properly?

Tell us about the problem, the constraints and the systems involved. An engineer, not a sales script, will reply.
